Hi,

We are having Cisco ASA 5550 appliance. from some days i am not able to access this ASA using ASDM. I am able to access ASA using SSH.

I am getting following logs on ASA

%ASA-6-725001: Starting SSL handshake with client  for TLSv1 session.

%ASA-6-725003: SSL client  request to resume previous session.

%ASA-6-725002: Device completed SSL handshake with client

%ASA-6-725007: SSL session with client  terminated.

%ASA-6-725001: Starting SSL handshake with client  for TLSv1 session.

%ASA-6-725007: SSL session with client  terminated.

%ASA-6-725007: SSL session with client  terminated.

At the same time standby firewall works perfectly fine with ASDM. I have tried by reloding the firewall, then it worked for 2 days & again stopped working.

Please help me.

Hi,

Have you try to enable a lower version of SSL? Which version have you got setup on the working one?

Regards

Mariusz

Hi,

Working ASA having same version of SSL (ASDM) thats 6.3(3).

Active ASA (which is not working) -  Software Version 8.0(5)19 , Device Manager Version 6.3(3)

Standby ASA (Which is Working) - Software Version 8.0(5)19 , Device Manager Version 6.3(3)

I haven't tried with lower version of SSL.

I was asking about SSL version.

This can be checked by issuing command;

sh run all | i server-version

Hi,

Sorry. This command not generating any result.

In this case I would recomend upgrading both appliances to 8.2(5) and dev mmanager to 6.4(7)

is it a bug or something? coz my all other firewalls running on same version of ASA & ASDM & are working fine.

only this box having trouble to login using ASDM.

Hi,

I have got the same issue, I have 2 firewall working as active/Standby, both have same IOS and ASDM version but I cant logon to Primary Firewall via ASDM, it was working fine before, Now All of sudden it has stopped working.

I can CLI to the firewall but not ASDM.

Any suggestion
