Oracle Applications server behind a PIX problem

we have an Oracle applications server behind a PIX 515. The oracle has a web interface listening on port 8001. We have statically opened port 8001 for the inside oracle machine but the oracle application is not accessible. We have fixup protocol sqlnet 1521 but this does not help. From the internet we can access the webinterface at port 8001, but if we click some links that need access to sqlnet, then we get restricted.

Any hints on this issue?

Syslogs will definitely help out here. You will get clear cut information of what is failing and what is required to fixit.
