Oracle traffic through VPN

We have an ORACLE server (Linux) which will connect to an ASA firewall and we want to forward its traffic (port 1521) through VPN to the ASA. We were thinking of installing the easyVPN solution to the server, is this a good idea?

Can this be implemented in another way?

What is the remote end? When you say forward it's traffic, are you changing the port number or do you just need to route it?
