Passive FTP on 877

I need to get passive FTP to work through my 877 routers firewall.

The only way I seem to have been able to do it so far is by allowing the 20 and 21 ports in which is fine but I also have to allow the range 1024-6000 to come back in otherwise the connection doesn't work

Is there a better way to do this as I am not too happy about leaving all of those ports wide open?

What ftp server software are you using... If you have a way to get passive to work I would like to the info... Tom

I'm using Pablo FTP server

The only way I have made it work is as above with 21 and 20 open inbound and also the dynamic ports open inbound
