PIX 501 Password Recovery Problems

Greetings,

I have read the document on password recovery, unfortunatly the commands that are listed in the document are not available in the PIX that I am using.

The only commands I see are:

enable

login

logout

pager

quit

I can see show as well

checksum

curpriv

history

pager

version

I can't get to any of the commands to connect to the tftp server as discribed in the instructions at:

I have the password recovery .bin file I just can't seem to get it onto the PIX. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Brian,

The command that you see in the doc, are in the rommon mode, not in the normal config mode of PIX, you need to reload the PIX, when the PI is booting up , keeping hitting escape key and it will take you to the rommon mode. Then you will find those commands.
