Pix 501 Throughput Question

According to Cisco the Pix 501 has 10M throughput for clear text. I have purchased a 501 with 3DES license bundled together. I'm not using any encryption but I only seem to get 1.5M throughput as if I were using 3DES. Is there any way I can change this (ie remove the 3DES license, command to increase throughput, etc)

Hi, if I’m not mistaken, the 4 ports on the 501 is a 10mb switch….I think. Are you trying to get 10mb throughput using that switch, or are you trying to get 10mb out interface 0?? If your trying to get 10mb out to the internet, what kind of internet connection do you have? At 1.5mb it looks like you have a T1. 10mb is like a capped DS-3 connection, and I think the 501 is going to have a hard time keeping up with this.
