Hi,
Is it possible to set a user-defined mac address on the outside of a pix so that I can get a dhcp address from the ISP?
thanks

Is there a reason you can't give the MAC of your PIX to the ISP and have them update their DHCP? This will save you headaches in the future.

It seems easier to me to just change the mac and be on your way, some ISP's can be very painful when a person wants to do something like this. I've never had any problems using a cloned mac address. So it can't be done on a pix?

I don't think so. I just scanned my books and looked in the PIX and I don't see anything anywhere.

Thanks, I couldn't find anything either.
