Do we need to do anything to our PIX 506 E in order to patch it for the new DST?
if so where do i go about getting the patch.

There are two options.
- You can use "clock summer-time" command to specify the new date and time.
- Upgrade PIX to atleast version 6.3.5(123) which will have the patch for DST. You need to get in touch with TAC who can publish the image for you.

thanks for the help. One more question.
I have no clue how to even get into my PIX this was put in place before i came to this company and i have never used it before. I have the access passwords, etc but i dont even know where to go to log into it. Can you point me to a document or some instructions on how to access it. Also whats a TAC?

TAC -- Technical Assistane Center.
This is a place where you'll find experts on various technologies to assist you. If you need assistance with PIX, you can call TAC and open a case with PIX team. All you need to have is a valid contract with Cisco, or your PIX must be under warranty to get software support on it.

you can probably telnet to it
telnet IP_address
Telnet is most likely enabled.
