Pix 515E(5.4 PIX OS) and inbound sip

I was wondering how we'd do this.

We have a sip phone that is natted 1-to-many behind a pix 515E running 5.4 pix code. We then have a sip server hooked up on the public ip side of the pix.

The phone registers fine with the sip server and can even make outbound calls fine. But if someone tries to contact the sip server and the sip server tries to contact the sip phone which is registered with it, it can't send an invite to that phone.

How does one fix this? I know this should be a fairly common issue.

Since we plan on having up to 100 sip phones behind this pix on their own vlan, is there a way to do dynamic one-to-one mappings?

5.4 is very old code, especially as far as SIP and other VoIP protocols is concerned. there has been over 200 SIP bugs and features fixed and introduced ince then.

I am never one to blindly tell people to upgrade their code without good reason, EXCEPT where VoIP and the PIX is concerned. It is always best to use the latest code, 99% of your problems will disappear. Upgrade to 6.3(4) and see how you go.
