Hi all,

I have problem config the ftp server , since i want config a ftp server allow outside clients the access ftp server , i just open the port 21 in access-list , but when i try to using browers eg. IE to connect my ftp server , when input login and password ,after that time out, but i try to using command prompt is work, also can get and put files in ftp server, what is the problem ? Is it need open another port or issue ? pls advise

Have you tried using an actual FTP Client like CuteFTP or CoreFTP ? This helps me isolate that FTP is working correctly. What type of FTP server are you using ?

on the machine you are tring to access ,enable the foolowing in the browser:enable folder view for FTP sites..

IE-->tools --->internet options--->avanced --->Browsing---->enable folder view for FTP sites..
