We have two private network 192.168.10.0/24 and 172.16.1.0/24.Before it was connected with cisco 3745.Now we have replaced the router with PIX 525.

network 192.168.10.0/24 connected to INTF4 and network 172.16.1.0/24 connected to INSIDE.

Now problem is when I tried to transfer the file (637mb)from host 192.168.10.4(intf4) to host 172.16.1.10(inside) it takes around 170 minutes where as before it takes only about 3 minutes.

What may be the actual problem please help me.

This sounds like DUPLEX MODE problems check your interface settings and set to:

PIX auto - SWITCH auto

PIX full duplex - SWITCH full duplex

etc

See the "show interface" command to see if you have errors.

That is the exact problem.

I have change it in switch and solved the problem.

But I wonder why it happens only in PIX.??
