PIX 520 pix software

Dear All,

I want to upgrade pix 520 software from 5.1 to 6.3.

Pls let me know the required things to this job

Hi swamy

If you have the minimum harware requirement on your PIX,you are ready to go.. for 6.3 IOS, you require a minimum of 16 MB flash and 32 MB DRAM. you can check this with show version output.

Once you have this, u can do a normal tftp transfer from ur server to the PIX.

The pix runnng with 32 MB RAM.

I need to know how can we get the 6.3 software.

Should we have smartnet suppport to download this software using CCO or its available in free download.

it isnt free.. u need to have a CCO ID with sufficient previleges to download this software. contact ur cisco partner. he will be able to give this to you...
