Hi,
I've got a Cisco Pix 520 running PIX v4.2(5). When I do, "show ver" It shows:
Hardware: SE440BX, 128MB RAM, CPU PII
Flash atmel @ base 0x300
How can I tell what is the size of the flash? I want to upgrade it to 6.xx if possible. The box has 3 NIC.
Thanks
Shane

unfortunately, pix 501, pix 506/506E, and pix 520 are not supported in software v7.0

jackko.
Thanks for the reply. Well since the current version is 4.2, I would like to upgrade it to 6.xx the latest at least. my questions are how can I find the size of my flash to make sure I can upgrade. Also I used bh532.bin and bh611.bin, boot helper files to boot from and I get bunch of errors.
thanks

one way is to do "sh ver" on the pix.
e.g.
pix> sh ver
Cisco PIX Firewall Version 6.3(3)
Cisco PIX Device Manager Version 1.1(2)

pix up 213 days 8 hours
Hardware: PIX-515E, 64 MB RAM, CPU Pentium II 433 MHz
Flash E28F128J3 @ 0x300, 16MB
BIOS Flash AM29F400B @ 0xfffd8000, 32KB
with the sample output above, the memory is 64MB and the flash is 16MB.
