Hi

I have a Pix 525 with Failover, when I make a "wri mem" on the active Pix (via consol), I get the message "Attempted to free nonchunk memory, chunk .., data..." (The Pix has plenty of free memory???).

Do anybody know what's the meaning and how can it affect the pix?

Thanks, Gael

You might be hitiing following bug(s)

CSCdv17303

CSCdw04410

Try upgrading to 6.1.4 or any 6.2.2, see if that helps.

I've heard of a similiar issue with IOS software ver 12.

Depending on the version you're currently running, you may just want to check for things like memory exhaustion (sh block); Stateful failover - lu allocation failure; Translation tables filling up or the processes run time being too long.

Excluding of course the 557poll.

If you only deploy GD images, you're left with only one option, that being 6.1.4

You may than want to double check the caveats against your own environment.
