pix 535 firmware

Hi

  We have a pix 535 that we want to put back into service. I tried to download the latest firmware but Cisco's site says I need more entitlements. When I tried to buy a service contract Cisco's site says its end of service and not available. Any idea on how I can get the firmware.

You can't in any legitimate way that I know of.

If you bought one from an authorized reseller (check NHR - Network Hardware Resellers) you might be able to copy that off of the unit.

You'd probably be better served by getting a new ASA. Even the little ASA 5505 has at least as much capability as an old Pix and is fully supported.
