Hi,
Can we assign 2 IP addresses to the same interface of any PIX firewall (Just like secondary interface on the router)? Is this feature available with 6.3(3) version?

Sunil

Hi,
You can configure VLAN trunking using 802.1q to the PIX which enables you to create multiple logical interfaces.
See the following for futher information:

not quite.
AFAIK, you cannot assign a secondary address to an interface.
If the new address is on a completely different subnet, you can add a new virtual interface to a physical one, using 802.1q VLAN tagging.
Such interface can be assigned a different address.
The switch the PIX is connected has to be VLAN tagging capable.

for futher info
hope this may help
