Pix: does it have the Administrative Distance concept?

Hi Experts.

I'm wondering if the Pix has an IOS-like administrative distance concept.

I've always assumed that, before it applies the longest-match-first routing algorithm, it orders routing info in this way (from most preferable to less preferable):

1) connected routes

2) static routes

3) ospf routes

4) rip routes

Am I correct?

Thank you!

Hi,

The Routing logic on the PIX is the same (should be the same), longest match, connected, static, ospf , RIP. (in the past there were issues running OSPF and RIP at the same time, not sure if they have been fixed or not),

So you are right.

Thanks

Nadeem
