We have 535 pair in failover mode. We had 2 interfaces in Gibabit port (Inside and NOC) and the rest in Fastethernet (outside, DMZ and failover).
We were facing a problem with PIX failing over without any interfaces failing and the Gigabit interfaces going on a Waiting mode, unless reset using the command line. The problem was sovled after the Failover was changed from Fast Ethernet to Gigabit , solution given my Cisco TACs, but they were unable to give the exact reason why PIX was behaving so abnormally, although the solution is not documented by Cisco anywhere... Has anyone faced a similar problem earlier and what was your solution to the same.. Plz get into the discussion...
