PIX FOS image

Hi,

I have question regarding how to backup an IOS image of PIX firewall. As i am not having the image Backup of same and dont have CCO login to download the same.

An often-asked question... Unfortunately, the PIX is not like a router. There is no way to download the software image from the firewall.

You can only save the config but not the FOS !

Save config:

Save a copy of the configuration running on your PIX Firewall to use as a backup if you decide to restore your pre-downgrade configuration. You can use the write net command to store the current configuration in a file elsewhere on the network through your TFTP server. The syntax for this command is

write net [[server_ip]:[filename]].
