Can someone please tell me what does "logging history" command does. How does it differ from "logging trap".
Thanks.

Logging history sets the level of messages to log via SNMP. logging trap sets the level of message to log via syslog.
And yes, "history" and "trap" as keywords are pretty nonintuitive, IMHO
