I work with a client who wants to hang a modem off their PIX 501's at their remote locations. Is this possible and if so any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can connect a modem to the console port of the PIX. There's no config required on the PIX itself, you'd need to make the modem auto-answer, etc.
Having said that, this would be a major security risk, I'd be very careful with that.
