Hi All,
How can you recover the password if you do not know the IP address of the PIX interface?
I cannot set up any server... (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2030/products_password_recovery09186a008009478b.shtml)
I have a pix in my lab, but I need to reconfigure that.
How can I do it?
Thanks

Try putting a sniffer on the inside interface of the PIX and see if you can sniff and find out the IP address of the box.
Also in the link specified, you need a TFTP server which is a software you can download from the internet for free and run it on your laptop or PC.
Attached with this post is a TFTP software.

This is very easily done. All you do is boot into the monitor mode, and assign an ip address to the interface, tftp a password recovery file to the pix, and recover. Cisco provides the document on how to do this at
