PIX setup on network

I have acquired on a PIX and want to implement it on my home network...  I have access to the configuration (old one which is the running config)  I have editted the outside and inside IP added the network the acl.  I can ping both the inside and outside interface but it's not allowing traffic through.  Am I missing a step??

Also I have setup tftp server... what is the exact syntax to save the current configuration??

What version of OS are you running ? try

write net ://filename

for your access have you setup NAT ie.

nat (inside) 1 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0

global (outside) 1 interface

Hi Ja,

Is the traffic not flowing from the inside network to the outside or vice-versa?

If traffic is not flowing in to out, you need the nat and the glob commands, as Jon suggested. For out to in traffic, you will need a static NAT translation and an access-list entry allowing traffic on the outside ACL.
