Dear all,
when we trying to upgrade our pix software from 6.2(3) to 6.2(5) using monitor mode
we are facing the following problem
monitor>
monitor> int 1
0: i8255X @ PCI(bus:0 dev:5 irq:12)
1: i8255X @ PCI(bus:0 dev:3 irq:255)
2: i8255X @ PCI(bus:0 dev:2 irq:255)
3: i8255X @ PCI(bus:0 dev:1 irq:12)
Ethernet auto negotiation timed out.
Ethernet port 1 could not be initialized.
monitor>
can anybody have idea about this problem
Thanks in advance
Regards
Nataraj

Hi
There could be 2 reasons for this :
Check the speed/duplex setting on the switch.
Most of the time, its a faulty cable issue. Please ensure that the cable is good.
I put my bet on the 2nd point. If you are connecting the pix directly to the PC, do use cross cable. Also int 1 means 2nd interface of the Pix.

Hi
If you have the version 6.2(3) you can upgrade you iso using the config mode instead of the monitor mode
use the command
copy tftp flash
Best Regards
