I used the pix to asa conversion tool. I have a configuration text file. I opened the file transfer screen inside asdm. My source is my local computer, what would my destination flash file be: would i overwrite the asa724 bin boot image file or should it be call startup_config.bin Does it convert the text file to a startup config image. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Patricia,
No That would not replacce any boot image file, that would just create a .cfg file in the flash. Once you have the file saved in the flash, you can use the following commands to use this config as your start up config.
Thanks,
Varun

Thank you for your help. I uploaded sconfig.txt to flash. No problem. Open up the command line and typed
copy disk0:/sconfig.txt startup-config
I receive an error - Bad file name. Error parsing file name.
Thanks in advance.
