Regardless of the failover state on the primary (showing Normal) replace the cable (known good). Check your IP addressing on that interface and make sure they are on the same subnet. Check your PIX code versions to make sure they are identical (and current). Check your hardware to make sure they are identical (Failover is only supported on like models with identical hardware configurations). Just some things to try before calling Cisco.
