Can an existing ASA, say a ASA5525-K9, be upgraded to Next-Generation, to ASA5525-SSD120-K9? If so, is it an orderable kit with HDD and license and anything else required?
Thanks!

Yes it can. There's not a single part number though.
If your ASA does not already have an SSD, the SKU you mentioned (with an '=' at the end) would get you one.
ASA5525-FP-UPG would be the part number for the necessary no cost Control license.
Finally, you would need to order the term-based subscription / licenses for IPS, URL Filtering and/or Advanced Malware Protection (AMP) in either 1-, 3-, or 5-year terms.
Oh and if you want centralized management you would also add in a FirePOWER Management Center. For a single ASA (with FirePOWER 6.0 or later), you can get by with ASDM management of the FirePOWER policies and events.

Thank you!
