We have a VPN set up with our office running successfully through PIX 501. Remote users connect ok using the VPN and MS Remote Desktop on PC's. One user who uses MS Remote Desktop on a home pc and an IBM laptop is able to connect from home through a cable connection and a Linksys router. That user prefers to connect at home through a Mac iBook. The user installed Cisco's Mac version of the VPN without problem on an iBook G3 800mhz running 10.3x. The user also installed the Mac version of Remote Desktop. The VPN connection works on the Mac, but Remote Desktop will not. A message is displayed saying either the office pc is not set up to accept remote or there is a network problem.
What's going on here? Much of the literature out there claims Mac connections with RDC and VPN's work great.

Are you running split tunnels and group authentication? If so create a new group and disable split tunnels. Some Mac's have a issue with split tunnels and routing.
