Question regarding ASA5510 password reset

Hope every one is fine,

I have a question to ask, i have firewall ASA5510 fully configured up and running in transparent mode, but the problem is i forgot the password.
I have followed documentations and found easy ways to reset my lost password. But the problem is i am afraid i might lose my configuration during this process. Do password reset methods can cause problems with my configurations as well? Can someone please explain this to me?

On step 9 you restore the configuration file to the running configuration, that would be what you are looking for.
