"Invalid http response" while uploading new ASA image via ASDM

I am uploading new ASA image to boxes 5512-X & 5516-X. While uploading image through ASDM, after completing 90 % I got "Invalid http response" error. I already tried 4 or 5 time, but it occurs every time. Current ASA version is  8.6(1)2.

Interestingly while uploading ASDM image through ASDM, i did not face any issue.

Is it some Cisco bug or something else? Can some body help.

The ASA software file handling changed as of 9.1(3)+.

There is a documented requirement to first upgrade to 9.0(4) and then to any 9.1(3)or later release.

Perhaps try upgrading to a different lower image first, and then to your final image.
