Rate-limiting IPSEC tunnel

Is it possible to rate-limit an IPSEC tunnel on a PIX 515E runninv V7.2.2 software. I am thinking of using the "police" command for inbound traffic, but not sure of the practicality.

yes the police command is the only way for rate-limiting on pix or asa.

Or apply the rate-limit on the edge router, depending on what you're trying to achieve.
