Rate Limiting /QOS different subnets

I do not know if anyone has tried to do this with QOS/rate limiting or not but here goes....I want to rate limit one set of private ips from my organization and let the other group of ips get to the internet without rate limiting. Unfortunately we use static ips and both groups of ips can be from several different class c subnets. I was thinking of setting up two different access-groups and doing the rate limiting based on that segregation. Is this feasible? Any tips? We currently use an ASA 5510 using ver 8.0.2 on a T-1 circuit.

Thanks

ASA does supports to rate limit the traffic but this can not be done based n the IPs of the packets. Following link may help you
