recover application-partition

I have to run the "recover application-partition" on some IPS/IDS devices we have after a botched upgrade.  I have successfully completed this on a Cisco 4260 Sensor and all went well.. the remaining devices are IDSM-2 cards in 6509's..

my question is if I run this command on the 6509 can anyone confirm this will not affect the 6509 switch the module is installed in?

The recover application-partition on an IDSM-2 will not affect the switch software or switch configuration.

However, if the IDSM-2 is configured for inline operation, then the traffic currently passing through the IDSM-2 will no longer pass (because the IDSM-2 configuration will be removed as a result of the recover-app).
