Reimaging IDSM2

I have a remote switch with an IDSM2 that is not functioning properly. I can connect to the module via SSH using the "service" account and get a Linux root shell. I have rebooted the sensor but no luck. Is there a way to restore the operating partition from the backup partition using the Linux command prompt?

Do not make modifications to the IDS module through the service account except under the direction of TAC. If you use the service account to configure the IDS module, your configuration is not supported by TAC. We do not support the addition and/or running of an additional service to the operating system through the service account, because it affects the proper performance and proper functioning of the other IDS services. TAC does not support an IDS module on which additional services have been added.

Telnet to the Catalyst 6500 series switch:

telnet ip address

session slot_numbe

login: cisco

Password: cisco
