RENEWAL OF IDENTITY CERTIFICATE ON FMC VERSION 6.4.0.6 (build 28)

Our Identity certificate expire in a week. Does anyone have some guidance how to RENEW the identity certificate on the FMC. Is there a difference in renewal versus getting a new ID certificate? FMC, Identity Certificate, Renewal

Is the current certificate self-signed or from a Certificate Authority (CA)?

If it's from a CA is is a public or private CA?

Our existing cert from GoDaddy expires in a few weeks.  I'm assuming we need to re-key using new CSR.  Please help/verify.  Thanks

@Mike Morrow yes you need a new certificate signing request. You didn't mention what platform you are using but if ASA you can generate directly and hen just install the issued certificate. If FTD you need to combine the private key, issued certificate and issuer chain in a PEM file and install on the device. The procedure varies according to whether it's FDM- or FMC-managed but several good guides are readily available if you google it.
