Question to Cisco Folks - I just downloaded the new S253 sig and noticed that its byte size is 423,161... This is much smaller than S252 (=6,630,431) and S251 (=6,629,084).
Is this now the norm, or is S253 an incomplete package?

It is not incomplete, s253 only applies to 5.1.2+ code. In prior 5.x updates, the same package was used to upgrade *both* 5.0 and 5.1 codebases and had to contain information for both.

Thank you Walter - That clearly explains the new byte size for the sig-pkg file.
...Also, great job on the new IEV v5.2. It installed very easy over v5.1 and the new features and help-system are great. One suggestion though - If Cisco could add a "human-readable" date/time-stamp column (so you don't have to convert milliseconds from 1970), that would be GREAT!
Again, thanks for your answer...
David
