anyone have information about enabling SIP option ping in ASA?

Is the requirement related to allow SIP ping option through ASA. Do you suspect ASA dropping that option.

If you feel that ASA is dropping that option, its worth trying to disable sip inspection. If for sure ASA drops the ping option in SIP header, I would recommend to engage Cisco TAC to get to the root cause.

Disabling the SIP inspection should be done in a downtime environment.
