Slow Download speed to Internet behind an ASA 5520

HI All,

I have cisco ASA 5520 and IPS SSM 20 module inbulid

Currenlty I am facing issue with the internet download speed as its very slow comapre to last week

Last week I have update signature update to IPS-sig-S727-req-E4.pkg package after that no changes has been made

We have check with ISP also and also on secondary link but same issue observerd

Can any one suggest, is it possible due to signature update Download speed decresses or further troubleshooting steps to resolve the priority

An easy way to isolate the problem will be to stop forwarding traffic to the module, just send it through the ASA.

Well we need to determine if the ASA is the issue:

-What happens if you remove the IPS from the data plane

-What are the CPU and memory usage on the ASA

-What inspections do you have on on the ASA

-How many errors do you have on the interfaces

-Can you share show asp drop

Hm, there might be a problem related to the cable that connects to the interface that has "6078024 CRC" errors.

Try resetting the counter and getting the output 5 minutes later, the commands will be.

"clear interface" and "clear asp drop", then the "show interface | i error" and "show asp drop"

How did the "removing the IPS" test go?
