Today I working with Cisco TAC on SSL Decryption with SafeSearch. We did not apply the SSL Policy to our SafeSearch policy that was created with the fear of disrupting internet access. In the past when I applied the SSL Policy it would block internet access to Google services. I disable the rule until we/I could get some clarity on what was causing the issue. TAC had me to upload the configs to them and the problem was not duplicate. So today we enable the rule, however, we did not add the SSL Policy to the rule. After deployment and saving the rule without SSL Decryption, our access to the internet was blocked. I disable the rule after deployment and we were still unable to access the internet. TAC figured out SNORT had stopped running and blocking our access to the internet. We have an FMC and 2 FTD 4110 (HA) with IOS: 6.2.3.13. Does anyone know why snort stopped running or if there's any bugs?
