Hi
I have an issue establishing connectivity between my Pix and a directly connected (cross-over cable) host.
My Pix is set to 100/full, however if the host is set to 100/full, it doesnt establish connectivity, if set to auto it negotiates with the Pix and ends up being 100/half !
The NIC is apparently a HP, not sure if there any issues with Pix's and these NIC's or im missing something.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Stu

This will be an issue with the Hardware(NIC) at the desktop. Try changing the hardware(NIC) at desktop end.

I would tend to think this is probably an issue with the end-host NIC card. Part of the ethernet standard that if only one side is set to autonegotiate, then it should default to the factory default duplex setting - which should be half-duplex. (note: the speed can be sensed, but duplex must be negotiated). Any chance you can change out the NIC card on the end-host in question and try again? I am not aware of any issues relating to negotiation problems on the PIX NIC cards.
The following doc (while not pertaining to the PIX specifically) may provide some helpful information.
