Static IP for hub and spoke PIX site-to-site with 3 PIX.

Some Pix 501 with PPPoE (dhcp) are connected to PIX 515 central office on Outside interface.

Some Pix 506E would connect to PIX 515 central office on dmz interface and would communicate with PIX 501 throught the PIX 515.

Do I need static IP for PIX 506E ?(and why ?)

Hi,

Yes you would need a Static for your PIX506E as the communication would need to be two way and when the 501 needs to send something for the 506 it would have no way of doing it till it has a Static for it on the PIX, also make sure to set your Routing accordingly, it can get tricky with multiple interfaces.
