Static problem PIX

I have PIX with

Inside 10.1.0.1/16

dmz 10.2.0.1/16

On dmz there is a serwer 10.2.0.2 with outside ip addesss. 62.29.X.X. And from outside all is OK.

But from inside I cant reach serwer on adress 62.29.X.X, but i can on 10.2.0.2.

static (dmz,outside) 62.29.X.X 10.2.0.4 netmask 255.255.255.255

You will obviously not able to reach 62.29.x.x from inside, as the translation is happening on the outside interface and is bound to that interface only. You can only access the server through its private ip 10.2.0.2. or else you can do a static to any other IP and access the server through that IP from inside.

Translation table is very crucial in PIX. access is allowed or rejected based on the translation and connection tables.
