I'm trying to set my 535 to syncronize time with a public ntp server but I can't seem to get it to work.
Would someone mind outlining the exact steps I'd need to perform to sync the Pix's time with a public ntp server?
Thanks,
Mike J.

Hi,
Baed on command Reference
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/iaabu/pix/pix_sw/v_63/cmdref/mr.htm#wp1186068
you only be needing
ntp server
but it also depends on what server it is and how the server is configured.
Thanks

I've done that. When I do a show ntp association it shows the ip of the server by no address for its ref clock. It also states that it is configured, insane, invalid, unsynced, There has to be something I'm missing.

Any chance you can post the output from a 'sh ntp assoc detail'? That will probably help us narrow in on the problem as setting up NTP is pretty easy (in other words, I doubt this is a config related problem).
