Hi,
I have a website that its certificate is renewing very soon on the ASA 5540 box. The certificate is with Verisign.
I would like to check what are the steps to renew this certificate on the ASA box ?
I have got this link :-
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6120/products_configuration_example09186a00808b3cff.shtml
but want to know if I need to generate the CSR file or would Verisgn use the existing CSR file to generate the .pem file.
Pls advise,
Cheers,

Hi Sanjay,
You'll need to generate a new CSR. This link should help walk you through the process:
ASA 8.x: Renew and Install the SSL Certificate with ASDM:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6120/products_configuration_example09186a00809fcf91.shtml
This procedure does not impact your network as long as the current certificate is not deleted. This procedure is a step-by-step process on how to issue a new CSR for a current certificate with the same root certificate that issued the original root CA.
Hope that helps.

Hi Mike,
Thank you . I would like to know how to do the certification renewal via the CLI ? as I believe that this ASA box is not setup to be used with ASDM.
Thank you.
Cheers,
