We have a client that needs the ability to monitor traffic inside their VPN tunnels. They need to be able to see what kind of traffic is being passed and the number of packets to assist them in troubleshooting. I assumed that you couldn't peer into the VPN tunnel to check this since its an encrypted tunnel but wanted to ask first. My guess was that they would have to monitor the traffic on one side as it egressed from the tunnel.
