Translational ip pools on a PIX 501

I have created a pool of internal ip address (16) that I want transalted in to (2) public addresses. I am using the PDM. I created the pool with a /28 subnet mask and have defined a external pool of public addresses (2). Now when I change my ip to be in the pool of ip's (internal) and connect to whatsmyip, I still get a ip of the external interface of the pix.

I want to show up on the internet as one of the 2 external ip's that I created in the global pool.

Any help is apprecieated.

After you changed a "nat" A "global" or a "static" you need to reset the translation table.

Connect with ssh to your PIX or use the serial port.

example in command line:

enable

conf t

clear xlate

clear arp

Note that this will reset all VPN connection and sessions on the PIX !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sincerely

Patrick
