Hi guys, I'm not able to access my domain address from my webserver, only when using the local ip address, I DO NOT host my dns, it's on a third party hosting my domain, my DNS Host config is:
Host | Points To | TTL |
---|---|---|
@ | {EXTERNAL IP ADDRESS} | 1 Hour |
and on my CISCO firewall it looks like this:
Source | Interface | Address |
---|---|---|
10.0.0.1 | outside | {EXTERNAL IP ADDRESS} |
{EXTERNAL IP ADDRESS} | inside | 10.0.0.1 |
How can I fix this in order to acess my www address from within the network?
Thank you,
Pau

Hi,
Can you share the NAT configuration for the server where the local IP address is binded to a public IP address. In CLI format I mean.
Since you say that you are using an external DNS server then I presume you are missing the "dns" parameter from the end of the Static NAT statement which does DNS reply rewrite automatically on the ASA.
Other option would be do configure a certain type of NAT configuration to enable connecting to the server with its public IP address directly from the LAN.
