I have two Sourcefire\Cisco IPS sensors deployed that have been identified as having the same UUID. As you could imagine, this is causing all kinds of issues. Has this ever been seen before and if so is there a fix?

-------------------[ SENSOR 1]--------------------

Model                     : 3D7120 (63) Version 5.4.0.4 (Build 55)

UUID                      : 46ffa0d8-4907-11e4-8669-d32acdb6a95e

VDB version               : 258

 ------------------[ SENSOR 2]-----------------

Model                     : 3D7120 (63) Version 5.4.0.4 (Build 55)

UUID                      : 46ffa0d8-4907-11e4-8669-d32acdb6a95e

VDB version               : 258

I have not seen this before.

I guess that you will have to remove both sensors, reinstall their software, and add them to the management center again.

So you're correct, but I only had to reimage one device. Cisco TAC had never seen this before either. In a way, its kind of cool to have a situation that has never been seen before. The only problem was this device was all the way out in Kazakhstan. (Im in the US)  Anyway the problem has been resolved.

Did you disconnect the sensor from the Firepower Management Center, og vis SSH on the sensor itself?

I figure that you remove both if you try to remove one from the Management Center.

Please help how you resolved this issue.

I am having same issue with having same UUID and Geo Location is very far. Please help.
