Please re-upload ASDM version 6.1F if you are running FWSM version 4.0.4. That should resolve the issue.

Hi Dipak,

Just reload the ASDM on flash, remove the old one first. Do the following:-

Download TFTPD32 from internet, install it on your PC, load the ASDM image in dir of tftp server. Make sure FWSM can ping TFTP server. i.e your PC

FWSM# delete flash:

FWSM# copy tftp: flash: ---> go through series of question i.e ip of TFTP server( your PC ) from which FWSM will get the ASDM, name of ASDM file.

To upgrade ASDM you just have to copy the file and name it "asdm" no matter what the original filename was.

FWSM/ADMIN# copy tftp: flash:asdm

Address or name of remote host []? 10.51.10.3

Source filename []? asdm-501f.bin

Destination filename [asdm]?

Accessing tftp://10.51.10.3/asdm-501f.bin...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Copying a file shouldn't disrupt anything. Hope that helps

Hi,

FWSM doesn't support FWSM# delete flash: command. It's only giving the following options:

FWSM# delete ?

/noconfirm  Do not prompt for confirmation

  /recursive  Recursive delete

  disk:       File to be deleted

FWSM# erase ?

  disk:  Filesystem to be erased

Is there would be any impact to upgrade ASDM, as it is in a production enviroment ?

Please suggest.

Thanks a lot in advance.
