Hi Everyone,
I am trying to ping IP from ASA
ping 10.31.38.35
Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 10.31.38.35, timeout is 2 seconds:
ICMP echo request from 10.31.2.20 to 10.31.38.35 ID=9953 seq=33515 len=72
?ICMP echo request from 10.31.2.20 to 10.31.38.35 ID=9953 seq=33515 len=72
?ICMP echo request from 10.31.2.20 to 10.31.38.35 ID=9953 seq=33515 len=72
?ICMP echo request from 10.31.2.20 to 10.31.38.35 ID=9953 seq=33515 len=72
?ICMP echo request from 10.31.2.20 to 10.31.38.35 ID=9953 seq=33515 len=72
There is no NAT on the ASA.
This IP is of logging server and ASA is sending logs to this server fine.

Mahesh
Is it possible that the server has some type of firewall running that is denying ping to the server? Or possible that somewhere on the path between the ASA and the server that some device is filtering traffic and is denying the ping?

Hi Rick,
Will check with server team if they have firewall enabled or not?

Rick
